Schedule

It is suggested that 2nd graders work at home for 60 minutes a day. We will do our best to stick to this time frame BUT you are more than welcome to have your child work on extra items if you wish such as the games I’ve sent or activities you have at home. I will post our daily lessons in the announcements tab for both students and parents to see by 8:30 each morning. These activities will be due at the end of each day. I do not care what time of day you chose to work on daily lessons as long as they are turned in sometime that evening.

 

Here is what I envision but we will see how week one goes and tweak it as needed…

 

Reading: 20 Minutes

Math: 20 Minutes

Writing: 20 Minute

*Science/Social Studies: 20 Minutes

This looks like 90 minutes but Science and Social Studies will
        be incorporated into our Reading and Writing.

 

 

Zoom

We will Zoom at least once a week in addition to our weekly Chew and Chat. We will go over the first two days lessons and discuss the rest of the weeks activities. We will also read our shared reading for that week that you will find in your weekly ziplock bags.

 

ZOOM TIMES:

Monday at 12:00 - Chew and Chat (time to see friends and

    each lunch together)

Wednesday at 9:00 - Weekly Meeting and Shared Reading Time

 

ZIPLOCK BAGS Weeks 1 - 7

You will find a Ziplock bag for each week in the packet you were given at our supply pick up day. 

 

DO NOT USE THE WHITE PAPER FOR OTHER PROJECTS!!!

This is for DIRECTED DRAWINGS!!

 

Please keep these in a safe place as they have the materials needed for reading and math. Please do not stress thinking this is a lot of work, it is not. I have added in some extra things for kids that want more to do as well as math games for you to play at home.
